Regular Activities

There are so many activities in God's Fire church than just the normal weekend meetings. What about:

Family Day

One Sunday every two-months we celebrate being a new family in Jesus Christ. People from outside the church are invited to join us in a buffet lunch . Every church member brings some delicious food from their homes and we take time to eat, talk and to build relationships after the church service has finished.

Circle group

Every Wednesday evening God's Fire church members come together in the North and the South of Eindhoven in a home to worship, pray, study and have fellowship together. Time and place is communicated every Sunday as it varies every week.

Marriages

At least once every year there is a marriage in God's Fire church. Everyone helps to make it an unforgettable day for the bride and groom and it is a day in which we strengthen our family bond by being witnesses to each others precious moments in live. Recently married? In may 2004 there were Phillip & Melissa and in September 2004 there were Paul & Sandy.

Asking a blessing for a child

We believe that the bible teaches us not to baptise a child. A condition for baptism is a personal faith and a conscious choice (Marc 16:16). Baptism symbolises giving your live fully to Jesus Christ and deciding to follow Him for the rest of your live. A baby or small child cannot make this decision in full awareness and that's why we pray for a special blessing and protection of (newborn) children in church. The parents join in prayer with the communion for God's protection and guidance for the child and for wisdom for the parents and the family.

Baptism services

Every year during God's Fire church meetings different people make the decision to follow Jesus Christ and surrender their lives to God. As a sign of surrender to God, they are baptised in water. Everyone of God's Fire church is present during this festive event, when the baptised give their testimonies of God touching their hearts and revealing Himself to them. During prayer they are baptised under water as a sign that they burry their old lives and start a new one with Jesus Christ. Afterwards the congregation prays that the new Christians will experience the Holy Spirit in their lives and that they will be lead by Him. The bible clearly says that who ever will give his life to Jesus Christ, will become a new creation on the inside. A line is drawn behind the old life and one can start again. And this whole event will be celebrated by God's Fire church on this day.

Christmas, Good Friday, Passover, Ascension day and Pentecost

If you study the bible closely, you will learn that God is a God of celebration. He even commanded the Israelites to celebrate many feasts all of which had a symbolical meaning. We as Christians use the holidays such as Good Friday, Passover, Pentecost and Christmas to celebrate and remember what Jesus Christ has done for us. All He has given us is reason to celebrate: God's presence through the Holy Spirit, freedom, forgiveness, healing and more. There is a lot to celebrate and be thankful for.

other special days are the children play days before the summer holidays, the interchurchal youth activities and interchurchal meetings, when churches in the same city and from other parts of Holland come together. We get to know each other better, pray, sing and talk together. And of course there are birthdays, blessing a new house and more. Because God's Fire church is not just a group of people, but we feel connected as friends and family to one another and to God.
