Training: The Alpha-course

Did you recently give your life to Jesus Christ and would you like to know how you can practise your devotion in your daily life, or would you just like to know more about the Christian faith? Then you will find what you are looking for in the weekly ALPHA course of God's Fire church.

What is the ALPHA-course?

ALPHA is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and therefore the Alpha course is the name chosen for our beginners course. The letters ALPHA in this case represent:

All who would like to know more about the Christian faith. People of ALL ages are welcome.

Learning and laughing. You will learn things about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.

Pizza's or Pancakes. Afterwards the group often goes somewhere to eat and then has the opportunity to get to know each other and build friendships.

Helping each other. A small group gives more opportunity to talk about personal questions.

All the answers you were looking for (and a lot more). Alpha is a place where no question is seen as too simple or threatening.

The complete ALPHA course involves nine themes mentioned below. At the request of people in the group other relevant questions will be discussed also. There is enough time and room to do so.

• Why should I read the bible?
• Why should I and how can I pray?
• What should I think of the Holy Spirit?
• How does God give direction to our lives?
• How can I resist evil?
• Can God still heal people today?
• Where does the church fit in?
